The Beginning of The End

 Welcome readers! 

This is the start of the end, the alpha to our omega. While I will likely be beginning a full posting schedule next week, I am so grateful for anyone taking the time to read this. I hope this will be a space where not only I can tell stories, true and imagined, but also hopefully edify and give a glimpse of the world where our dear departed now rest. I plan on making roughly one post a week on this blog, perhaps more or less, depending on how inspired I feel or busy I am. For a more thorough explanations of the goings on here...please see my 'About' and 'Questions' page. I look forward to interacting with you all, and most of all sharing the stories of these spirits who have requested I share their heart-felt stories!

DAVIS I never really believed in any of it, not at first, anyway.  When I was little I saw shadowy figures in my room, things standing near me. Tricks of the brain, was how my mother explained them to me. So tricks they stayed. Apparations of the imagination, shifting shadows.  I had been skeptically religious. At times I felt that, while perhaps spirits existed, their presence here as 'ghosts' was something that was simply nonsense, or was so rare sure I  would never experience something like that. They existed in a sort of skeptical gray area of my belief system. While truly, what I did not consider is that such things are very much in the realm of any kind of spirituality. An Encounter in Mainz: A Name I Didn't Believe, Part III

I felt his friendliness, but also his desperation and a profound fear of being forgotten. As he spoke, I could feel his emotions as clearly as I heard his words. It was as if he were standing right there beside me. I asked how he died; he said it was old age. I asked if his family was here; he indicated that his wife and children had been buried nearby, but their graves were long gone. The communication was difficult, especially when it came to his name. My own mind kept trying to guess, to fill in the blank, but the spirit said no to each one. I felt that I should just relax and listen.
